Reuse-Oriented Requirements Engineering with FoReST

چکیده
Reuse of experience and solutions for recurring development problems is of the utmost importance for a pragmatic software engineering discipline. The earlier in the development process reuse is achieved, the larger its positive impact on the project. This paper reports on reuse approaches that are applicable during the requirements analysis phase.

Quantifying Functional Reuse from Object Oriented Requirements Specifications
Software reuse is essential in improving efficiency and productivity in the software development process. This paper analyses reuse within requirements engineering phase by taking and adapting a standard functional size measurement method, COSMIC FFP. Our proposal attempts to quantify reusability from Object Oriented requirements specifications by identifying potential primitives with a high le...
متن کاملAspect IPM: Towards an Incremental Process Model Based on AOP for Component-Based Systems
In spite of recent and constant researches in the Component-Based Development area, there is still a lack for patterns, processes and methodologies that effectively support either the development “for reuse” and “with reuse”. This paper presents Aspect IPM, a process model that integrates the concepts of component-based software engineering, frameworks, patterns, non-functional requirements and...
متن کاملAided Software Engineering ( CASE )
The success and acceptance of reuse tools and libraries depends on their integration into existing software development environments. However, the addition of large libraries of reusable components to software design databases only exacerbates the problem of design data management. Object-oriented databases originated to meet the requirements of design data management that relational databases ...
متن کاملAn Aspect-Oriented Framework for Software Product Line Engineering
Software Product Line Engineering (SPLE) is a relatively new software development paradigm to improve systematic software reuse. There are two key assets underpin the software product line (SPL) development: a feature model and a reference architecture. To deal with complex crosscutting behaviours in SPLs and also manage the impact of nonfunctional requirements (NFRs), we propose an aspect-orie...
متن کاملThe Formal Requirements Engineering of Manufacturing Systems
Requirements Engineering is now widely recognised as a critical activity in the context of information system (IS) development. In this paper, we present a taxonomy of different kinds of knowledge elicited during requirements engineering. In particular, we introduce a formal agent-oriented language aimed at the modelling of functional requirements. Finally, we suggest a methodology for the requ...
